Comments: St Paul's Cathedral: Tuesday night newspaper reports

Very astute of the Bishop and Chapter to withdraw the threat of legal action. If The City had persisted (as they still might) the protesters would have been given sanctuary on church property and the moral victory would have been enormous.

What an interesting piece from Stephen Bates.
A much longer article would have been that much more interesting ....
One gets the feeling that this particular sort of vox clericorum could well develop into a small book.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is finally speaking out on the disenfranchisement of the working poor, and middle class citizens. It is a significant step in the right direction. Perhaps this is indeed the work of the Holy Spirit. At any rate, it is so good to read reports of the Archbishop's position on this vital matter facing our world.
